The Rupshu Trek, includes 11 days of trekking and 2 days of drive from Manali to Sarchu, through one of the most enchanting route, which moves over the high passes, mountain deserts, along the rivers and numerous streams offering tremendous landscape of the Western Himalayas. The trek follows the Tsarap River then veers up to the base of Morang - La (4,600Mts). Eventually we get to Zar-chu Valley. On the way we encounter many settlements of High Altitude Nomads with their Yak tents (Ribose). The trail winds over the high passes such as Yar La (4950 Mts), Zalung Karpo La (5100Mts) and Kangmaru La (5274 Mts). |
